In the night from the 2nd to the 3rd of October 1990 the two german states were united again.

Border opening Ungarn

At night on the 10th of October, 1989 Ungarn opened the borders for east german people. So hundreds of persons could leave the DDR by this way – the beginning of the break-down of the communistic countries.

The european memorial in Saarland

At the top of the Linsenhügels in Berus in a height of 360 m you will find the 16 high meter europeen memorial. It was build in Saarlouis in Saarland.

The treaty from Maastricht concerning the European union (EUV) is a new step in european integration. It allows cooperation in foreign affairs , police and justice.
