This lighttower on the northseacoast is the oldest of germany; it was built in 1300. A great fire in 1360 destroyed the first building. At first it was a fortified tower, the soldiers who have been stationed there should preserve beach robbery on the estuary. In 1814 it was converted into a lighthouse.
Today it is a great tourist attraction.
