Estia: the godess who protect the house
Hermes: the messenger of the 12 gods
phrodite: the godess of beaty
Mars: the god of the war
Athena: the godess of wisdom and the protector of the city of Athens
Vulcan: the god who manufactured the weapons of the olympics gods
Diana: the godess of hunting
Apollo: the god of light and music
Dimitra: the godess of fertility and agriculture
Poseidon: the god of sea
Hera: the wife of the leader of the gods, Zeus. hera was very jealous and made the life of Zeus very difficult
Zeus: the leader of the 12 gods. He hold to his hand the thunder and when he got angry, shoot with the thunder the people.

Aesop was our ancient great story-teller. His stories had always a central meaning which Aesop wanted to teach to the listeners. To all his stories we have animals as main characters.
The most well-known story is that of the rabbit and the turtle. The two animals participated in a race. The rabbit was selfish, arrogant, very sure about himself and beleived that he is going to win. On the other hand the turtle was humple, patient and persistent. The race had been won by the turtle in the end.
